Established in 2009

as a non-profit organisation focused on improving education outcomes in public schools in under-resourced communities

Our vision is to support people to win against poverty through education.

The foundation offers:

1. Leadership training for principals

2. Digital literacy programmes for officials, principals and teachers

3. Financial support for learners’ university education

Umlambo foundation is in partnership with more than a hundred schools mostly in South Africa as well as a few schools in East and Southern Africa. Our method of work supports the evidence that effective leadership in schools plays a significant role in the attainment of positive learning outcomes and recognizes that the future of work will require digital skills. We are concerned with climate change, gender equality, mental health, and entrepreneurship.

We continue to have a relationship with them and encourage them to support community activities. Some of our students have supported work on nutrition, agriculture, and mental health.
